How Can Video Storytelling Benefit Your Brand?

Video, especially online video, has become the most popular way people consume medical and healthcare content. YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are all platforms that people turn to for information. When you have a good strategy in place, video storytelling can help you reach your goals – your audience is more likely to remember what they see versus what they read.

Video is no longer optional for brands, as it’s dominating each digital media platform and should be a central piece of every marketing strategy. From explaining a medical procedure to providing expert advice, there’s no shortage of video content options to utilize.

Our video work with our clients Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons (CTVS) and Decent have recently received a Viddy Awards Platinum Award – the top award you can get! Here are a couple of ways in which these award-winning videos have benefited our clients within the medical community.

Informing Patients

We worked with our client CTVS to create this explainer video to educate patients about a complex spine procedure that requires the skills of a vascular surgeon. Dr. Politz’s patients are able to view this video before their appointment by scanning a QR code, making it easy for them to learn about their upcoming procedure. Utilizing this video opportunity has created an efficient and engaging way for patients to become better informed.

Connecting With Your Community

One of the best ways to grow your brand is to find ways to connect with your audience, and we worked with our client Decent to do just that in this testimonial video. This video captures the testimonial of entrepreneur Alex Blum, who, for years, didn’t have health insurance. He came to Decent shortly before he found out he would need a life-changing surgery, and luckily the coverage prevented him from having to shut down his business. During the video shoot, we asked Alex what the problem with health insurance is. He replied, “Health insurance [bleeping] sucks.” He’s right, and so we ran with it for some relatable YouTube ads to further promote Decent’s brand.

If you haven’t utilized video yet, there’s still time to incorporate it into your strategy! For more information about how our video work can elevate your brand in the medical community, contact us.
