As part of the Movember campaign, men are encouraged to grow mustaches and beards during the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
HealthTronics & the Texas Stars Partner for Movember
ESS client HealthTronics has partnered with the Texas Stars for Movember.Brien Rea, the team’s director of broadcasting and media relations, and Russell Newman, HealthTronics CEO, have ditched their razors this month to grow facial hair. Many other HealthTronics employees and some Texas Star players are also sprouting mustaches and beards to support the cause.
HealthTronics is also sponsoring “Pucks for Prostates”, where a donation will be made to prostate cancer research for every goal the Texas Stars score this hockey season. To learn more about the partnership, click here to watch the KVUE story.
Urology Austin Patient Featured on KXAN
Urology Austin patient,David Bryce, was diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 52. Bryce’s doctor, David Cuellar, M.D., used the latest robotic surgery to remove most of his cancer; however, a small part of the tumor could not be reached, and Bryce had a recurrence. Fortunately, he just completed the last of 39 radiation treatments.
Doctors are optimistic about David’s future. But he wants other men to pay attention to men’s health issues like prostate cancer, which is why he and Dr. Cuellar have grown mustaches for Movember.
